Leo Club Objective

To provide the youth with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national and international community.

Leo Club History

The first Leo club was charted in a high School in Pennsylvania, USA on December 5th 1957. They created the LEO acronym which then became the Motto.

Leadership – Develop skills as a project organizer, time manager and team leader.
Experience – Learn teamwork, cooperation and collaboration.
Opportunity – Make friends and feel the rewards of helping your community.

In October 1967, Lions Clubs International adopted the Leo Clubs as an official program.  There is now an international network of over 6,500 clubs in over 140 countries.

Make a Difference: Sponsor a Leo Club

Sponsoring a Leo club provides a way for Lions to mentor future community leaders and encourage a commitment to community service. Through involvement with a Leo club, Lions can energize and inspire members and increase their own community exposure, and possibly attract potential new members. Through Leo clubs, Lions have a positive influence on today's youth and young adults, helping them become better citizens and leaders for life.
